Life is full of uncertainties these days. Let's face it, we live in a broken down world. A world filled with anger, resentment, rebellion, revenge, pain, suffering (the list goes on and on). And why is that? Well, I believe it all boils down to one reason, self-centeredness. It's as if this life is like a rat race, you are on your OWN. You're ALONE, this is a "competition". Well, people with that mindset usually finds it hard to trust other people. That layer of pride is too thick to tear down. And what happens is they go all out to make it in life, whatever it takes to reach the top! And hence causing all those unwanted conflicts and incidence to happen. The thing is, before every fight did the other party really process what is going on. A penny for the other person's thoughts? Could there be a better solution or can he/she compromise? See, that is why it's only after the war that the leaders regret. As they did not consider that. Sometimes in life, it is the same, before bursting out in anger, this can be applied. The famous saying, "put yourself in someone else's shoes". And most of the time, when you really put that into your thinking pattern, you realise it is easier to solve the problem or issue. As you can better understand how the other person is feeling, and empathise with him/her. That is what love does. Thinking for another before self. 1 Cor 13:4-7 (NKJV) 4Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. -love never fails.
