Second Chances
People say there are no second chances in life. Once you make a mistake, you pay the rest of your life.
But let's all face it, we all make mistakes. We all have. But I believe everytime we fall, we learn something. As the saying goes, "no pain no gain". If you've never failed in your life, how do you cherish success? If you've never feared, how do you celebrate, knowing you stood in faith?
The problem with many of us is that we are usually trapped in our guilt and shame. We can't let go of our past mistakes and failures. We are stucked. We are trying. Yet, we don't know how to move on. Have you ever felt that way?
Like you are trapped in quake sand. But the harder you try to get out, you realize the faster you are sinking. You are overwhelmed, overcomed, overpowered. You can't get out of this rut. You're about to give up.
Today I got a powerful revelation. Giving up is not a solution. But sometimes, giving in is. If you've been trying and failing all this time, here's a solution- just give in. Stop trying to fight on your own anymore. When you give in, and you leave it up to Him, "not my will but Yours be done", something amazing happens.
You realize your load begins to lighten, and the burden is slowly lifted. Some burdens were never meant for us to carry. The only thing Jesus told us to carry was the cross. Which means denying our carnal flesh, which like to do things our OWN WAY. He said, "Come to me all you who are weary and heavy laiden and I will give you rest, take up my yoke for it is easy and my burden is light".
Now its time to give yourself another chance. It's not the end.
In fact, not just a second chance, a third, a fourth, .. and so on. His mercies endures forever. When we are weak, He is strong. When we are powerless He gives us strength. When we are faithless, He is faithful.
They say there are no second chances in life, but He says, I have given you a future and a hope.
